We’d love for you to stay longer, but we also know that sometimes a week is all you get. So, here’s a quick guide to getting the most out of your week at Mountain Falls. We hope you’ll come back to do all the fun stuff you missed!

1. Hike to a Waterfall
It might be a short stroll to see Whitewater Falls, the tallest waterfall east of the Rockies at 811 feet; a trek to Silver Run Falls, where you can jump in the swimming hole; or a rigorous hike to Rainbow Falls in Gorges State Park. Heck, if you’re up for a challenge, the hike to Harris Falls begins right here Mountain Falls! This is the land of waterfalls and you’ve got to see at least one!

2. Hit Lake Toxaway for a Great Meal
You’re 2-3 minutes away from some incredible options: Panthertown Café, Villa Amato, Los Vaqueros and Grand Olde Station. If you want something extra special, drive 11 minutes for lakefront dining at The Greystone Inn.

3. Join the Daily Pickleball Play
In the Spring, play begins at 12:00pm. In the Summer, it’s paddles up at 9:00. No reservations required. Just swing by the courts and join the fun.

4. Tee It Up on Our Executive Golf Course
No tee-times. No greens fees. Just walk on to the first tee located behind the Welcome Center and swing away.

5. Join Sips & Sounds, Friday at 5 pm
This is our weekly happy hour and excuse to get together, uncork some great wines, and make new friends.

6. Check out a Lake or River
Go for a lovely drive around Lake Toxaway. Rent a pontoon boat on Lake Glenville. Do a little fly fishing or go tubing down the French Broad River.

7. Visit The Biltmore Estate
The Biltmore Estate in Asheville is a sight to behold and definitely worth the hour or so drive to get there. Plus, Asheville offers up all sorts of great restaurants, breweries, shops, and galleries along its historic streets.

8. The Liberty Cocktail Cart
Look for Liberty Coach’s roving bar passing by on Thursday starting at 4 pm. Each week brings a new signature cocktail directly to your motorcoach!

9. Two Scoops Tuesday
This ice cream party takes place every other Tuesday in the Clubhouse. If you’re lucky enough to be with us, stop by between 2:00 – 3:30 pm to enjoy free scoops and lots of fun compliments of our friends at Marathon Coach.

10. Visit Cashiers or Highlands
These are two of our favorite small towns and you’ll find all kinds of cozy restaurants, quaint boutiques and shops, incredible antique stores, and plenty of Western North Carolina History.
